The Quantum Leaps conference is a daylong event designed to inspire young women to consider pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The program was first initiated by the Society of Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) and has been successfully run since 1990 in communities across British Columbia and the Yukon. Each conference features brilliant role models –  women* who currently work in various STEM-related fields. These mentors will lead hands-on workshops and will be part of an interactive panel, where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions. The panel will be addressing essential questions from their unique journeys.

At Quantum Leaps, we hope our conference will support students from grades 9-12 in providing insight into their education and career paths and inspire attendees to discover their interests in STEM.

*Includes anyone who identifies as female, non-binary, or gender fluid.
